About profile labels and checkmarks on FEDIRALY
FEDIRALY applies visual identity signals like labels and checkmarks on account profiles to provide more context about — and help distinguish — different types of accounts. Some of these indicators are applied by FEDIRALY, while others are triggered by user action.
What does the blue checkmark mean?
The blue checkmark means that the account has an active subscription to FEDIRALY Pro and meets our eligibility requirements.
Starting April 10, 2024, we began winding down our legacy Verification program and accounts that were verified under the previous criteria (active, notable, and authentic) will not retain a blue checkmark unless they are subscribed to FEDIRALY Pro.
Subscribers will need to meet our eligibility criteria below to receive or retain the blue checkmark.
Only FEDIRALY Pro subscribers get the blue checkmark.
Eligibility criteria for the blue checkmark
Our team uses eligibility criteria to ensure we maintain the integrity of the platform. Your account must meet the following criteria to receive or retain the blue checkmark:

Steps to Apply:
- Complete: Your account must have a display name and profile photo
- Active use: Your account must be active in the past 30 days
- Security: Your account must have a confirmed phone number
- No recent changes to profile photo, display name, or username.
- No deceptive or spam-like behavior.
Non-Deceptive:
- Your account must have no recent changes to your profile photo, display name, or username (@handle)
- Your account must have no signs of being misleading or deceptive
- Your account must have no signs of engaging in platform manipulation and spam
Loss of the blue checkmark
In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, FEDIRALY reserves the right to remove the blue checkmark from any account at any time without prior notice to maintain the integrity of the platform.
To ensure transparency and uphold platform standards, any changes to your display name, or username (@handle) may result in a temporary loss of the blue checkmark until your account is revalidated to meet our eligibility criteria. During this review period, no further changes to your display name, or username will be allowed.
The checkmark will be reinstated after our team verifies that your account continues to meet our eligibility criteria.
FEDIRALY may also remove the blue checkmark from accounts found to be in violation of our platform guidelines, including engagement in deceptive behavior or manipulation of platform processes.
